Foot Care

After my last post on how to pamper your foot with pedicure, I am giving you 12 more tips for foot care. This time it is another pedicure but with a twist. If you went to a spa to get a pedicure done then you most probably would have landed with the one I discussed earlier in my previous post. This one is called Exotic royal pedicure and is done only by selected and well established spas around the world. Now, don’t be so jealous of the Hollywood actresses legs, you can get one like that too.

Exotic Royal Pedicure.

  1. Play soft music while you get to pamper your feet.
  2. Light an aromatic candle.
  3. Shape your nails. Remove the cuticles.
  4. Take a bucket of hot water. Add mild shampoo 2 table spoon, 1 and half tea spoon of lime juice, 1 tea spoon of salt. If your skin is too dry add 2 table spoons of honey . Add two drops of lavender aroma oil.
  5. If you could manage to get certain herbs then you could do pedicure with these and I guarantee that the aroma stays for minimum 2 days.and keeps you fresh  with a great smoothing feeling.

Boil water with paachoottitholi, ramacham, nagappoove, muthanga, padhya[kadukka],. Make one liter water to half a liter, then add 4 liters of milk, and reduce the solution to half. Take it from the heating range. Allow it be a little cool, so that we can dip our legs in that. Once it cooled down, before dipping out feet add one fourth liter of honey. Stir well. Then dip your legs for an exciting foot pampering treatment.

  1. Dip your legs in this warm water. Water should be there above your ankle joint. 2 and a half inch from the sole. Add some pebbles in the bucket, the pebbles should be having smooth surface. It should not hurt your soles. Press your feet against these pebbles, or you can roll your feet over them.
  2. This hot foot immersion should be done for 20 minutes.
  3. Slowly take your legs from the water and dry them with a towel.
  4. Take a foot scrub and gently massage for 2 minutes. A natural foot scrub will do.mix honey, milk with sugar crystals.[ don’t use finely powdered sugar for this]. Rice powder can also be used for this very effectively provided they are not finely powdered.
  5. Clean after the massage. Wash with luke warm water. Wipe with a towel
  6. Apply a pack. Foot pack could be sandal powder, a little milk, glycerin, tomato paste. Or egg white, besan flour, glycerin.
  7. The pack can be evenly applied all over the legs .allow it to be there for 20 minutes. Then wipe with a towel, then was in water and dry with a towel. Apply moisturizer generously.

Great ideas!

I personally like to soak my feet in an epsom salt bath. I play alot of basketball and sometimes my feet are just really soar, so the epsom salt will help relax them. If my girlfriend is willing to, I’ll get her to give them a short massage after the soak. I’ve found that it’s one of two remedies for athlete’s foot that work really well. The other one is to dab a little Ozonated Olive oil on there.

Beautiful, healthy feet can improve the confidence level of the person and vice versa. Your feet will be visible when you are visiting a beach or when you are wearing casual slippers. If you do not take proper foot care, you can face embarrassment in such circumstances.

Boosting the confidence level is specially there for girls. I know many who do not sit comfortably in a group for fear of people looking at their unhealthy and cracked foot.
