Now to say about the nature of the headache, it is seen on both sides of the head. The pain is mostly seen in the entire forehead region, back of the head. The patient may complain of a stiff or an aching neck. The pain could be a mild aching pain. In some cases, patients do say that they feel a sort of tightness or pressure, rather than a painful condition.
The peculiarity of this headache is that it stays for long hours and is recurrent.
Ways to deal with tension headaches
- Do loosening exercises and cooling Pranayama in the morning
- Ensure that at least 10 to 12 glasses of water should be taken a day.
- Develop a hobby.
- Take massages.
- Listening to soft music.
- Take a piece of cheese or a chocolate.
- Go for cold chocolate drinks or fresh juices or milkshakes.
- Reflexology and acupressure could also be taken from a known hand.
- Do balancing Naadisudhi Pranayama in the evening. It should be followed by a 15 to 30 minutes of meditation.
- Take a tight sleep.
