Oat Cakes

Oats cake is one healthy snack you all can enjoy. The need for healthy snacks to substitute the junk food is increasing day by day.

Ingredients

  1. Oats- 500 grams
  2. Flesh of tender coconut-0ne cup
  3. Jaggery syrup-150 ml
  4. Cardamom powder-one to two teaspoons
  5. Cinnamon- a pinch

If you want to add dried ginger powder then a pinch of that could be added other than cardamom powder.

Method of preparing this healthy snack

Grind oats to get a fine powder. Do make a thick paste from the tender coconut flesh.mix these two ingredients well. Next should be the turn of the mouth watering jaggery syrup. Do add the syrup and see that it blends well with the oats and tender coconut mix.

Sprinkle cardamom and a pinch of cinnamon powder or dried ginger powder and mix all these ingredients well with hand. Keep in mind that what we need is a combined flavor. Take this in a steamer and cook well.

These sweet tender and thin cakes do satisfy your taste buds and the body will get enriched by the nutrients it do have.
