Sweet rice flake balls

Method of preparation

Take one cup of reddish rice flakes, jaggery scrapings- 1/4th cup, and coconut scrapings –1/4th cup. Grind in a mixer so as to get coarse grains. Make small balls out of this. Add 2 table spoons each of dates, cashew nut, walnuts, and raisins to the mix to make the snack richer with nutrients. This will be great for kids.

  • Total calorie- 155 kcal
  • Fat-4.5 grams
  • Protein- 2.5 to 3 grams
  • Iron content will be about 5.3 milligrams.

Mint Chutney

Mint Chutney

This is an example of a sweet healthy food. Sweetness is widely mistaken for unhealthy food. If not artificial sweeteners, bleached white poison –the sugar, jaggery, honey, nuts, raisins, dates which are mines of nutrients and they are sweet at the same time.

Spicy hot Mint chutney

Ingredients

  • Mint leaves –finely minced- 1 cup
  • Coconut scrapings- three fourth cup
  • Fenugreek –one pinch
  • Green chilies- 2
  • Onion-0ne fourth
  • Salt- as needed
  • Lemon juice- of half lemon
  • Ginger – half inch cube
  • Sesame- 1/4th teaspoon

Method of preparation

Grind mint leaves, coconut scrapings, onion, green chilies well. To heated oil Add sesame. Then add curry leaves and a pinch of fenugreek. Add the mint coconut ginger onion pate and sauté well trill the raw taste disappears. Add a little salt and water to the healthy chutney. Add lemon juice. Cook for a little time. This healthy chutney can be used in place of any sauces. Ayurveda system of medicine suggests mint chutneys to be part of treating pitta disorders. Then you have to cut down the number of chilies to one and half.
